Peter Brandt predicts collapse in Bitcoin, altcoins, and meme tokens
What gloomy forecasts have descended upon the crypto market! Where is the festive cheer for the holiday season? Renowned analyst and trader Peter Brandt predicts a collapse in Bitcoin, altcoins, and meme tokens.
The expert bases his prediction on 50 years of market-watching experience. Brandt supposes that some people will play it smart, but many will take on debt, miss the peak, and go broke after Bitcoin drops 50%, altcoins lose 90%, and meme tokens crash by 100%.
However, the expert has not specified when he expects the ongoing rally in digital assets to end. It is possible that Brandt anticipates the uptrend will conclude soon. Currently, the investor has bought shares of Kleenex but has not yet sold his Bitcoin or Solana (SOL).
Brandt also finds it shortsighted for traders to believe Bitcoin's price will skyrocket into the stratosphere. Earlier, the analyst shared statistics showing that Bitcoin had risen 1.4 million times in value (technically, 145,324 times) over the past 15 years. Back on January 5, 2010, 1 BTC was worth just $0.70, while today it stands at $101,727. Brandt thinks that it is foolish to expect a similar bull rally over the next 15 years.
Instead of greed and dreams of striking gold, the expert advises selling cryptocurrencies in time to lock in profits. Otherwise, the inevitable crash of digital assets will lead to massive losses. Brandt concludes that meme token holders will suffer the most, as their prices are marked by extreme volatility.
